Privacy Policy

Effective August 10, 2026

Overview

This Privacy Policy describes how Authentic Tech Leadership LLC ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information through the website sentinelprotocolsseries.com (the "Site"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices.

Information We Collect

The personal information we may collect through the Site is limited to what you voluntarily submit through our signup forms:

  • Email address (required) — to send you book release notifications for The Sentinel Protocols series.
  • Phone number (optional) — you may optionally provide your mobile phone number and opt in to SMS launch alerts. Providing a phone number is not required and is not a condition of any purchase or service. SMS notifications are not yet active; when launched, standard carrier message and data rates may apply. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any SMS message.

We do not collect names, payment information, browsing history, or any other personal data through the Site.

We also store a single cookie-preference value in your browser's local storage (sp_analytics_consent) recording whether you accepted or declined analytics cookies. This value contains no personal information and is used solely to remember your choice.

How We Use Your Information

Email addresses collected through the signup form are used exclusively to send you notifications about new book releases in The Sentinel Protocols series and occasional updates related to the series. Phone numbers and SMS opt-in status are stored for the purpose of sending optional launch-alert text messages when that service activates. We do not use your contact information for any other purpose.

Data Storage and Security

Email addresses are stored in Amazon Web Services (AWS) DynamoDB, encrypted at rest using AES-256 encryption. Access to this data is restricted to authorized personnel only. We use industry-standard security practices to protect your information.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate the Site:

  • Amazon Web Services (AWS) Simple Email Service (SES) — to deliver newsletter emails to subscribers.
  • Amazon CloudFront — as a content delivery network (CDN) to serve the Site efficiently.
  • PostHog — a product analytics service, used only if you accept analytics cookies in the cookie banner. See "Cookies and Tracking" below.

We do not share your email address with any other third parties. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.

Cookies and Tracking

Current status (as of 10 August 2026): analytics are not enabled. No analytics service is loaded, no cookie banner is shown, and no analytics cookies or identifiers are set on this Site today. The section below describes what will happen if and when we enable analytics; we will update this date at that time.

This Site uses PostHog, a third-party analytics processor, to understand which pages and links visitors use so we can improve the Site. PostHog is loaded, and begins processing any data, only after you click "Accept" in the cookie consent banner. If you click "Decline," or leave the banner undecided, PostHog never loads and no analytics data is collected — the same is true if your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal, which we treat as no decision.

When active, PostHog may process standard web-analytics data: the pages you view, links you click, referring page, device and browser type, and a randomly generated identifier stored in your browser (in local storage and a PostHog-set cookie) so repeat visits can be grouped together. We do not ask PostHog to identify you personally, and we do not connect this data to your email address. See PostHog's own privacy policy for details on how they process data such as IP addresses.

Your consent choice is stored in your browser's local storage (sp_analytics_consent), not a tracking cookie. You can review or change your choice at any time using the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer of every page — declining stops PostHog from loading on future visits. No third-party advertising or retargeting scripts are present on this Site.

For more details, see our Cookie Policy.

Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your email address for as long as you remain subscribed to our newsletter. Every email we send includes a one-click unsubscribe link. You may also request deletion of your email address at any time by contacting us at privacy@sentinelprotocolsseries.com. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.

Analytics data collected by PostHog (only if you accepted analytics cookies) is retained only as long as necessary to understand usage trends and improve the Site — it is not kept indefinitely. Declining or withdrawing consent via "Cookie preferences" stops any further collection immediately; it does not retroactively delete data already sent to PostHog, which you may request we delete by contacting privacy@sentinelprotocolsseries.com.

Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Right to Access — You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Right to Deletion — You may request that we delete your personal data.
  • Right to Opt-Out — You may unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time using the link in any email or by contacting us directly.
  • Right to Rectification — You may request correction of inaccurate personal data.
  • Right to Data Portability — You may request your data in a machine-readable format.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@sentinelprotocolsseries.com.

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, request its deletion, and opt out of its sale. We do not sell personal information.

Children's Privacy

This Site is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
